Elon Musk’s social media platform X (formerly Twitter) has released the list of shareholders for its parent company, X Holdings Corp. The list includes the investors who aided Musk’s $44 billion acquisition of the platform in October 2022.
The platform has been forced to disclose its investors as part of a lawsuit brought by former Twitter employees, who are seeking payment of arbitration agreements by failing to pay them arbitration fees after Musk bought the site.
Previously, X has argued that its investors were confidential as a matter of “routine practice and policy,” but this week, a federal judge in California ruled to unseal the list of the site’s owners.
The list with nearly 100 entities with a stake in the company, includes some of Silicon Valley’s most prominent venture capitalists and entrepreneurs as well as multiple funds controlled by the same person.
This includes Twitter founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey, Saudi Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal Al Saud, as well as his investment vehicle Kingdom Holding Company.
Investors named in the document, unsealed on Wednesday evening, include entities linked to Sean “Diddy” Combs, Bill Ackman, Larry Ellison and Marc Andreessen.
Among the few entertainment figures on the list is Sean Combs Capital. The fund is one of many linked to Combs, who has several business ventures in various industries.
The list also includes venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, Italian financial services company UnipolSai S.P.A., and 8VC, a venture capital firm co-founded by Joe Lonsdale, the co-founder of data analysis platform Palantir.
