Raphe mPhibr, an aircraft manufacturing company, has raised $100 million in a funding round led by General Catalyst. The round also saw participation from existing investors, including Amal Parikh, Think Investments and other prominent high-net-worth family offices.
This round brings the Raphe mPhibr’s total capital raised to $145 million.
Founded in 2016 by Vivek Mishra and Vikash Mishra, Raphe mPhibr is an aerospace startup that designs and manufactures comprehensive & customised UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) solutions.
Raphe products range from lightweight agile surveillance drones to high-endurance heavy-lift logistics drones. Some of the products are mR10, an operational drone swarm; mR20, a high-altitude logistics platform for resupply in remote forward areas; Bharat, a lightweight man-carried drone for rapid surveillance in complex terrain; and X8, a compact platform for maritime patrol and situational awareness at sea.
The company said that several of these systems are already being used by Indian defence forces.
Raphe mPhibr was among the 12 drone manufacturers shortlisted by the central government in 2022 for the production-linked incentive scheme for drones and drone components.
