Protean eGov Technologies (formerly NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure), a technology company that focuses on developing Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and e-Governance solutions, has elevated V Easwaran to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).
With over 30 years of experience across banking, digital transformation, and large-scale operations, Easwaran has consistently delivered results in some of the most complex and regulated environments. He has been part of India’s most prominent banking success stories—from India Post Payments Bank to Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Bank, and Standard Chartered Bank, often stepping in at their formative stages and playing a decisive role in scaling them into market leaders. His career reflects a rare blend of strategic foresight, operational rigour, and the ability to execute at population scale under the highest standards of governance and compliance.
Previously serving as Group Head of Business Operations, Easwaran played a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency and delivering critical outcomes across Protean’s diverse portfolios, including key RFP mandates.
