NODWIN Gaming, an entertainment, gaming, and esports and material subsidiary of Nazara Technologies, has announced the appointment of Shefali Johnson as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Comic Con India, a pop culture platform.
Founder Jatin Varma, who has led the brand since its inception alongside co-founder Karan Kalra and Event Director Sonal Varma, will be stepping back from day-to-day operations.
In her new role, she will deepen fan engagement, grow regional reach, and solidify Comic Con’s role as the definitive pop culture experience in the country.
Prior to joining Comic Con India, she was Legal Counsel & Chief of Staff at NODWIN Gaming. Previously at NODWIN Gaming, she spearheaded several of its flagship live IPs over the years — including DreamHack India, BGMS, and the Cosplay vertical & championships.

Since the acquisition, Comic Con India expanded its footprint by debuting in 3 new cities — Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Pune — in addition to its marquee events in Hyderabad, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai.
