Cricketer and entrepreneur MS Dhoni has invested in House of Biryan (HOB), the chef-led, tech-driven cloud kitchen reimagining how the world experiences biryani. With this strategic partnership, HOB focuses on its mission to take biryani to global comfort food status.
MS Dhoni said, “I’ve always believed in backing teams with strong vision, disciplined execution, and a deep connection to their roots. House of Biryan has brought that vision to life, and I’m happy to be part of their journey as they are ready to take this Indian classic from kitchens to hearts worldwide.”
Mohammed Bhol, Co-Founder and CEO, House of Biryan, said, “Welcoming MS Dhoni to the HOB family isn’t just about fame, – It stands for clarity under pressure and consistency at scale – exactly what we’re building: precision on the plate, every single time. Together, we’re building not just a brand – we’re reshaping how the world sees biryani.”
Founded in 2022 by Mohammed K. Bhol and Chef Mikhail Shahani, HOB has scaled from a single kitchen to 20+ outlets across Mumbai, Delhi, and Dubai. In just three years, it has served millions of bowls – all built on the belief that biryani belongs on the global dining table, right next to pizza, burgers, and burritos.
At the core of HOB’s experience is Meri Wali Biryani (Your Biryani Your Way) – a unique, build-your-own concept that lets customers personalise their bowl across spice levels, flavours, and ingredients. Powered by a cloud-kitchen model and proprietary tech stack, HOB ensures every order is fast, fresh, and uniquely yours.
With Dhoni’s backing, House of Biryan is set to expand into Australia, Japan, the UK, and North America, aiming for 120–150 kitchens globally and a revenue target of ₹450–550 crore over the next three years.
