Krieya Beauty & Wellness, a beauty and personal care company, has raised around ₹7 crore in its first funding round led by Sauce, co-led by Riverwalk Holdings, with participation from Aneesh Sheth (founder of Dr. Sheth’s).
The funds raised will be used to prepare for the launch of its first brand in Q3 FY26, scale research, and build product capabilities.
Founded by Siddharth Sharma, Krieya is a beauty and personal care company focused on research-based products for Indian consumers. It is developing premium haircare, skincare, and wellness brands with proprietary formulations designed for Indian biology and usage habits. The company has conducted research with over 500 consumers and completed six months of product trials for its first haircare brand.
Krieya’s first brand will launch in Q3 FY25-26, focusing on haircare, with 10 products currently in pre-launch testing.
The company is also creating a BioPrint of Indian consumers to guide product development.
Zoeb Ali Khan, VP at Sauce, said, “We are bullish on Beauty & Personal Care as a category in India, and see premiumisation through local players as a clear trend across multiple categories in Beauty. Krieya’s focus on building premium brands as well as R&D with proprietary formulations is what convinced us to invest.”
Jai Sumer Singh, Co-Founder & Partner at Riverwalk Holdings, said, “We were super excited about the R&D first approach adopted by Krieya. This focus, along with deep customer obsession, gives them an unfair advantage, and that’s why we invested.”
Siddharth Sharma, Founder & CEO at Krieya, said, “Most mature global beauty markets such as Korea and Japan are dominated by local brands that deeply understand their consumers, and invest in not only marketing, but R&D to deliver superior outcomes. As the Indian BPC market matures, we intend to lead this change and build premium science-driven brands across the Beauty, Personal Care, and Wellness Categories.”
