Mohammed Shami has joined Lucknow Super Giants from Sunrisers Hyderabad for ₹10 crore in the trade window ahead of the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026).
Shami, the second-most expensive acquisition for SRH ahead of the IPL 2025 season at ₹10 crore, will move to LSG at his existing fee.
Mohammad Shami has played 119 IPL matches across five franchises since making his debut in 2013 and has taken 133 wickets. He has featured in every edition of the competition since 2013, barring 2024, where he was ruled out due to an ankle injury.
Before joining SRH, Shami was an integral part of the Gujarat Titans setup and clinched the Purple Cap in 2023 with 28 wickets in 17 matches at an economy rate of 8.03.
