Hindusthan National Glass and Industries (HNGIL), a container glass manufacturer, announces the appointment of Rakesh Mehta as Chief Operating Officer, North.
The appointment follows HNGIL’s acquisition by Independent Sugar Corporation (INSCO), part of the Uganda-based Madhvani Group, in September 2025.
In his role, Mehta will oversee manufacturing facilities across various locations, with responsibility for supply chain coordination, production efficiency, and servicing clients across the pharmaceutical, liquor, beverage, and food sectors.
Rakesh Mehta brings over two decades of experience across finance, commercial operations, contracting, and regional leadership. Prior to joining HNGIL, he served as Finance Head – North at Reliance Jio Infocomm since 2013. He has also held roles at Reliance Retail, where he managed distribution, logistics, and operations across Gurugram and other northern markets.
