Figr, a Bengaluru-based startup has raised $2.25 million in Series A funding led by Kalaari Capital, with participation from Antler, Golden Sparrow, and angel investors.

The new capital will be used to enhance Figr’s core technology, particularly its custom AI models for UI/UX design. Additionally, the company plans to expand its product and growth teams.

As part of its growth strategy, Figr is targeting a diverse range of designers – from freelancers to design studios and design teams at startups.

Commenting on the fundraise, Moksh Garg, Co-founder and CEO of Figr, said, “We saw designers spending weeks on research and wireframing before even starting the creative work. Figr can make this process 10 times faster by handling the non-creative tasks, allowing designers to focus on what they do best.”

“Our vision is to empower every design team to create beautiful and functional interfaces without being bogged down by tedious, repetitive work. This funding gives us the momentum we need to continue refining our AI technology and to expand our offerings globally.” added, Chirag Singla, Co-founder of Figr.

Speaking on the funding, Sampath P., Partner, Kalaari Capital said, “The potential of GenAI to revolutionize product development, particularly in design, is truly exciting. With its ability to blend collective human feedback and deep personalization, AI will transform design into a more dynamic and iterative process. Moksh and Chirag have done incredible user research to build Figr. The platform seamlessly integrates with existing design workflows, driving significant gains in productivity and efficiency. We at Kalaari are thrilled to partner with them on their journey – as they shape the future of product design and unlock enormous value for designers worldwide.”

Founded by Moksh Garg and Chirag Singla, Figr is an AI-powered design platform changing how product teams create user interfaces. Figr aims to streamline the often disconnected and time-consuming design process.

The platform leverages advanced AI to transform rough ideas into polished UI designs, enabling teams to work more efficiently and creatively.

By automating repetitive tasks and enabling rapid prototyping, the platform can significantly reduce design timelines and costs. This increased efficiency can lead to more innovative, user-friendly products across industries.

Figr claims it has over 75,000 signups and more than 500,000 queries processed. Notably, 80% of its users are based outside India, underlining its global appeal.

The company’s selection for the Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First cohort of 2024 further highlights its promising trajectory in the AI-driven design space.
