Cygnet.One, a digital tax transformation and enterprise technology solutions, has announced the appointment of Dr Pankaj Dikshit, PhD (IIT Delhi), as Executive Director. He will be based out of New Delhi.
With a career spanning more than three decades at the intersection of government, technology, and enterprise transformation, Dr Dikshit brings unparalleled expertise in building national-scale digital systems, shaping policy, and pioneering AI-driven innovation.
Recognized as a thought leader in technology, AI, ML/DL, digital transformation and cybersecurity, Dr Dikshit has been a prominent voice at leading industry and policy forums, influencing strategies for AI adoption, enterprise digitization, and technology-driven governance.
As a pioneer of India’s GST transformation, Dr Dikshit was instrumental in scaling the system from zero to a digital network of 14 million taxpayers, 1.06 billion returns, 16 billion invoices, and 280 million payment transactions. He helped establish the GSP ecosystem with nearly 100 partners, enabled the successful rollout of the E-Way Bill system (now clocked 3.5 billion transactions), integrated it with NETC for toll operations, and designed and launched the country’s e-Invoicing framework (with more than 2 billion invoices registered now) alongside leading fintech players as private IRPs. By designing and implementing this architecture, he not only strengthened revenue collection but also simplified compliance and improved trust in government-led digital platforms. This experience reflects his ability to build scalable, secure, and AI-driven systems that deliver tangible economic and social impact.
