Codeyoung, a Bengaluru-based global learning platform for kids (K–12), has raised $5 million in a Series A funding round led by 12 Flags Group and Enzia Ventures. The round also marks exit for early investors.

The funds raised will be used to expand its presence in international markets, build AI-driven personalization tools, and introduce new learning categories.

Founded in 2020 by Shailendra Dhakad and Rupika Taneja, Codeyoung delivers live 1:1 online classes for children aged 5–17 across Coding, Math, English, Science, Advanced Placement (AP) courses and SAT Preparation.

Its approach combines consistent teaching quality with measurable progress, designed to build lasting learning habits.

So far, the platform has taught more than 20 lakh hours to over 25,000 students in 15 countries, achieving completion rates above 80%, renewals over 60%, and an NPS above 65.

Shailendra Dhakad, Co-founder & CEO, Codeyoung, said, “Parents choose us for two reasons — skilled educators and visible learning progress. We’ve built a model where outcomes come first. Students learn at their own pace, while parents have full visibility into their child’s progress. Families everywhere want learning that feels personal, dependable, and measurable. This investment allows us to bring that experience to more children across the world.”

“Our vision is to make quality learning accessible to every child and to set a new benchmark for how online education delivers outcomes. We’re focused on long-term value — combining technology, excellent teaching, and transparency so families see real progress with every class,” Dhakad added.

Rupika Taneja, Co-founder & COO of Codeyoung, said, “Quality at scale comes from systems — selective hiring, structured training, regular audits, and open parent communication. Our one-on-one model ensures consistent learning, measurable outcomes, and a reliable experience for families.”

Namita Dalmia, Co-founder & Partner of Enzia Ventures, said, “The challenge in EdTech has often been two-fold — the inability to sustain trust in the absence of measurable outcomes at the individual student level, and a lack of financial discipline while scaling. Codeyoung stands out in taking a different path — building trust through tangible outcomes and scaling with discipline.”

Rakesh Kapoor, Founder of 12 Flags Group and former Global CEO of Reckitt Benckiser, said, “Education is most transformative when institutional learning is complemented with personalized, 1-1 guidance. Codeyoung has thoughtfully integrated AI to make that personalization scalable – delivering outcomes at scale without losing the human connection. We’re thrilled to back a team that truly understands how kids learn best.”
