CarDeekho Group has appointed former Flipkart Senior Director, Sudarshan Sarma as their new Chief Business Officer, New Auto business unit. New Auto business unit operates India’s automotive platforms such as CarDekho.com, BikeDekho.com, ZigWheels.com, and PowerDrift.
In his new role, Sarma will focus on market expansion, revenue growth and building strategic partnerships in the Indian auto industry.
His career spans various industries, including automotive, technology, and retail.
Before joining New Auto, Sarma served as senior director at Flipkart, where he played a crucial role in leading third party monetization and agency relationships.
Sudarshan has held prominent positions at Facebook, Google, Carzonrent and General Motors. He began his career with General Motors India as a sales manager followed by roles at Google and Facebook where he was instrumental in digitising the India auto industry. He also served as CEO at Carzonrent.
He holds an MBA specialising in international business and marketing from the University of Technology, Sydney.
