Xovian Aerospace, a Bengaluru-based space tech startup, has raised $2.5 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Piper Serica and TurboStart, with participation from Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) and Eaglewings Ventures.
The funds raised will be used to launch its multi-frequency RF payload aboard ISRO’s launch vehicle to validate its indigenously developed core sensing technology. This will be followed by the development and deployment of its nanosatellite. Initial customer pilots and data trials are slated for 2026. The company will also expand its engineering team as it scales toward delivering sovereign RF intelligence from India to the world.
Founded in 2019 by Ankit Bhateja and Raghav Sharma, Xovian Aerospace is building a full-stack space-based RF intelligence infrastructure, from proprietary RF satellites to AI-powered decision intelligence, making the planet’s critical RF spectrum accessible, interpretable, and actionable in real-time like never before.
Xovian’s AI-native RF satellites capture and decode the world’s most dynamic signals, transforming them into actionable intelligence.
The platform goes beyond monitoring; it detects intent, exposure, and volatility, turning fragmented RF data into real-time, predictive insight. By fusing SIGINT and GEOINT into a unified intelligence layer, Xovian anticipates cascading threats before they impact supply chains, militaries, or infrastructure.
Its vertically integrated platform enables governments, enterprises, and responders to detect intent, exposure, and disruption before risks escalate.
Ankit Bhateja, Co-Founder, Xovian Aerospace, said, “Legacy satellites are blind to the world’s most dynamic threats – RF is where the action is. We’re building the nervous system for Earth: Satellites that listen, AI that understands, and infrastructure that helps governments and enterprises act in real time.”
Raghav Sharma, Co-Founder, Xovian Aerospace, said, “We are turning invisible signals into climate-resilient, conflict-ready intelligence” From stealth movements to real-time weather intelligence, RF gives you what optical can’t. We’re capturing it, decoding it, and transforming it into predictive intelligence across sectors.”
Ajay Modi, Director Investments at Piper Serica, said, “Piper Serica is proud to back founders Ankit and Raghav, and we believe Xovian Aerospace is poised to become the definitive spacetech intelligence platform, transforming security, sustainability, and global monitoring. The future of intelligence is from space, and Xovian is leading it.”
Venkat Raju, CEO and Partner, TS Global, said, “Space tech is strategic infrastructure in today’s world. Xovian’s vision of a radio-based nanosatellite constellation with AI-driven analytics is timely and necessary. We believe they’re laying the foundation for a sovereign geospatial intelligence stack that can compete globally, and we’re excited to be partnering with them in this journey.”
Ankur Mittal, Co-Founder, IPV, said, “India should become a space superpower, and that journey starts with bold investments at an early stage. At IPV, we’re seeing a meaningful shift ~ early-stage investors are now willing to back sectors like deep tech and space tech, which come with longer gestation periods and higher risk. The government’s growing support, especially through initiatives like IN-SPACe’s ₹1000 crore fund, further highlights how critical this sector is to India’s future. Xovian Aerospace stands out with its deep expertise in building satellites and space-grade components, while keeping scalability and cost-effectiveness at its core. Their mission closely aligns with India’s vision of strengthening domestic capabilities and making access to space more inclusive. We’re excited to partner with them on this ambitious journey.”
