Vaidam Health, a medical tourism company in India has acquired MediJourney, a digital-first medical tourism platform in an all-cash deal.

Founded in 2024 by Rishabh Jalan and Vikaas Gutgutia, MediJourney is a medical tourism platform previously incubated by Ferns N Petals (FNP). MediJourney is a tech-enabled, patient-focused platform helping international patients access reliable healthcare options.

With this acquisition, Vaidam aims to expand its global footprint, deepening technology integration, and enhancing patient experience at scale. The acquisition also strengthens Vaidam’s cross-border healthcare facilitation.

The acquisition allows Vaidam to tap into MediJourney’s agile digital infrastructure and broaden its engagement across high-growth markets.

Through this acquisition, Vaidam is targeting a 40-50% growth in active patient engagements over the next year and strengthening its presence across key international markets, including Africa and Southeast Asia, where it already operates through multiple on-ground teams and information centres.

Post-acquisition, MediJourney will continue to operate independently under Vaidam’s ownership while leveraging its in-house technology stack, hospital partnerships, and multilingual case management systems. Key areas of focus include enhanced AI-assisted navigation, customised onboarding journeys, and operational integration across Vaidam’s partner hospitals.

Pankaj Chandna, Co-Founder of Vaidam Health, said, “We welcome MediJourney to Vaidam Health. MediJourney’s platform complements our infrastructure and broadens our ability to connect international patients with trusted healthcare options in India. This acquisition reflects our commitment to simplifying access to quality treatment for patients worldwide.”

Rishabh Jalan, Co-Founder of MediJourney, said, “This acquisition represents a powerful synergy between two companies that share a common vision for innovation and customer-centric solutions. By joining forces with Vaidam Health, we are ensuring that our technology and expertise reach new heights, benefiting a wider audience while allowing us to focus on new strategic opportunities.”

Founded in 2016 by Pankaj Chandna and Manish Chandra, Vaidam Health is a technology-led platform for medical travel. With over 25,000 global patient interactions per month on their online platform for international patients coming to India and a presence in seven countries, the company offers end-to-end support, including treatment discovery, visa processing, interpreter services, and post-treatment care. They facilitate treatments in some of the best hospitals in India.
