Bengaluru-based EV startup Ultraviolette Automotive has elevated Vinayak Bhat to Chief Product Officer. Before becoming CPO, Vinayak was the Technical Director and Principal Engineer at Ultraviolette.
Vinayak Bhat has extensive experience in aerospace and electric mobility, aligning with UV’s focus on advancing future-focused design and technology.
As Ultraviolette’s new Chief Product Officer, Vinayak will lead product portfolio expansion, from design to market introduction, driving innovation in high-performance electric vehicles.
Vinayak Bhat, CPO, Ultraviolette expressed his excitement about his new role and stated, “I’ve witnessed Ultraviolette’s unwavering pursuit of innovation. My goal is to craft exceptional products for global markets through our strategy of vertical integration – Specifically across critical elements like the battery technology, drivetrain and vehicle architecture. Vinayak Bhat started his career at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in 2013 as a structural engineer. He later joined Safran Engineering as a design analyst, where he worked on key projects for Airbus and Boeing focusing on landing gears, nacelles, and fuselage components. He also co-founded a startup specialising in drivetrain and battery technology, which laid the groundwork for his continued involvement in the electric mobility sector.
Bhat joined Ultraviolette in 2017 and previously served as Technical Director and Principal Engineer. During this period, he played a significant role in the development of key products such as the F77 Mach 2 and the F99 Racing Platform. He managed coordination across product development, engineering, operations, and manufacturing. His technical expertise has been instrumental in achieving Ultraviolette’s milestones.
