SpeakX, a Generative AI technology platform for English learning, has been selected for the prestigious Google Startups Accelerator. Google Startups Accelerator was recently launched by Google, and is designed to support Android app startups in India.
SpeakX joins a cohort of 20 innovative startups that will receive tailored guidance and support over a three-month journey, collaborating closely with teams from Android and Google Play to enhance product development and growth strategies.
Founded by Arpit Mittal, SpeakX has achieved remarkable growth, surpassing 10,000 paid subscribers monthly and generating an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of $500,000 in under eight months.
“Technology can truly change the face when it comes to education, especially for those who have been left behind. Right now, only 8% of people in India speak English well, which means a lot of people miss out on key opportunities for education, jobs, and personal growth. At SpeakX, we are tackling this head-on,” said Mittal.
The Google for Startups Accelerator offers startups access to Google’s AI technologies and resources, helping them leverage AI effectively while improving their applications’ technology and user base. This program marks a significant evolution of the Appscale Academy, providing deeper support and mentorship for app-based startups.
As a participant, SpeakX will benefit from Google’s technical expertise and cloud credits, further enhancing its mission to empower users with personalized and engaging English learning experiences. With 50% of its user base coming from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, SpeakX is dedicated to making English education accessible to a diverse audience, including individuals from middle-income households.
The program commenced with an intensive boot camp at the Google Bengaluru office, focusing on equipping startups with the necessary tools to scale their apps effectively. SpeakX aims to extend its transformative approach to global markets, including Latin America, Indonesia, the UAE, and Europe.
