Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) announced that Keith Le Goy has been named Chairman, Sony Pictures Television, expanding his oversight to lead all of Sony Pictures Television’s domestic and international production, including the game show business and GSN (Game Show Network).
He will continue to report to Ravi Ahuja, who took the helm as SPE’s President and CEO at the beginning of the month.
Le Goy most recently led the studio’s combined television and home entertainment distribution and marketing businesses, while also overseeing SPE’s cable networks in Latin America and Europe.
Under his leadership, SPE’s digital home entertainment business experienced its highest revenue year ever globally for the movie business in 2024, and SPE’s anime subscription service Crunchyroll hit 15 million paying subscribers in more than 200 territories.
He also established a renewed focus on local language productions in Latin America for SPE’s networks and led the recent launch of SPE’s in-car entertainment service, RIDEVU, and entertainment app for PS5 and PS4 consoles, Sony Pictures Core.
Prior to his current role, Le Goy served as President of Distribution for Sony Pictures Television. Before joining Sony in 1999, Le Goy served as Vice President of Sales for Europe for The Walt Disney Company.
“Keith has a remarkable track record at SPE, both in distribution and the businesses he has led. He is strategic, growth-oriented, and has a razor-sharp mind. Just as importantly, as a close partner of mine in our TV business, I have seen firsthand that he is a fantastic colleague. I look forward to working with him in this new capacity,” said Ravi Ahuja, President and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment.
“It is a privilege to take the helm of the television group at this transformative time in the industry. Thanks to Ravi and our incredible teams, SPT is well positioned to lead and build upon our rich legacy in this evolving and dynamic marketplace, and I am invigorated by the opportunities ahead,” said Le Goy.
