Sharang Shakti, a Gurugram-based defense robotics startup has raised ₹5 crore in a pre-seed funding round, co-led by AUM Ventures and Venture Highway. The round also saw participation from the JK Group’s Family office, Appreciate Capital and other angel investors.
The newly raised funding will be used for product development and expanding the team.
Sharang Shakti aims to create a comprehensive technology stack, enabling the development of a wide range of robotic systems tailored for defense applications. The company aspires to establish India’s own version of Lockheed Martin, aiming to position itself as a leader in next-generation defense technologies.
Co-founder Karan Goyal said, “This funding will help us not only to strengthen our existing talent pool but also bring on board talent as we enter the next phase of growth.”
Ankush Tiwari, from AUM Ventures, mentioned, “We are eager to partner with startups at an early stage, and the potential we see in Sharang Shakti to innovate and make an impact in the field of defence technology is undeniable.”
Founded in 2023 by Karan Goyal, Chirag Singla, Jitendra Singh, Gaurav Kumar, and Rishabh Choudhary, Sharang Shakti aims to pioneer innovations in airspace surveillance and airborne threat mitigation. The startup is currently developing an advanced anti-drone system designed to detect, track, and neutralize hostile drones—marking the first of several cutting-edge products in its development pipeline.
Earlier this month, Indusbridge Ventures, a defense technology-focused company, collaborated with U.S.-based deep-tech venture builder FedTech to launch the ‘I2A Launchpad’ program, designed to support Indian dual-use startups in defense and commercial sectors.
