Sammmm, a teen self-care brand, has raised ₹10 crores in a seed funding round led by Fireside Ventures. The round also saw participation from Sauce VC and angel investors Nihir Parikh, Sachin Parikh and Shantanu & Nikhil Mehra.
The funds raised will be used to diversify its product portfolio, amplify its brand presence, and build a robust multi-channel footprint.
Rishi Seth and Mantosh Roy, Co-founders of Sammmm, said, “Our journey with Sammmm is rooted in the belief that every teen deserves a brand that not only understands their needs but also gives them a voice. This funding marks the beginning of an exciting chapter where we can scale our efforts, deepen our engagement with teens, and deliver innovative products that resonate with their individuality.”
Prayag Mohanty, Principal, Fireside Ventures said, “The teen’s personal care market has remained largely untapped in India despite teens being a large consumption audience (20%). While there are numerous brands for babies and adults, the teens group has very limited options while their requirements are quite different. We believe Sammmm, with its razor-sharp focus on this audience, is well-positioned to serve this segment. Manty and Rishi are highly experienced founders who come with deep domain expertise and very complementary skillsets ideally placed to address this huge opportunity.”
Manu Chandra, Founder and Managing Partner, Sauce.vc said, “As the beauty and personal care market in India matures, sharper segmentation is a given. Teens as a segment have very different needs and attitude towards the category and deserve their very own beauty brand. In Mantosh and Rishi we have found stellar experienced partners to create a differentiated play in this space.”
Founded in February 2024 by Rishi Seth and Mantosh Roy, Sammmm offers teens a platform to co-create products that cater to their unique needs. Sammmm focuses on creating beauty, wellness, and lifestyle products specifically designed for teenagers, including Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
