Rahul Sharma joins APCO’s International Advisory Council (IAC) as a senior advisor, APCO CEO Brad Staples announced today. Sharma will take on his new role as managing director, India, U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC).
Sharma will continue to provide APCO and its clients with strategic counsel and expertise across a range of regulatory, policy and political issues shaping the India environment. Following the recent elections, he will play a pivotal role as a senior counsellor advising clients globally on how to support their businesses within India and India-based companies on their international expansion.

Sharma joined APCO in 2017 and since that time he built a robust and diverse team with a reputation as a leading advisory firm in the market. The team, based in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, focuses on advising corporate clients with issues, crises, corporate reputation and market expansion, especially in the sectors of health and tech, as well as specializing in advising and representing Indian states.
As a member of APCO’s IAC, Sharma joins nearly 200 global leaders including policy experts, former politicians, renowned journalists, nonprofit pioneers, diplomats and academics—offering invaluable experience and expertise in various areas.
