Pratham Mittal, Founder, Tetr and Masters’ Union said, “Shark Tank has emerged as one of the most influential platforms for entrepreneurship in India, giving early-stage founders the opportunity to showcase their ideas, gain mentorship, and access resources that can help turn concepts into scalable businesses. I’m excited to engage with students and young founders who are starting early, building with purpose, and shaping the next generation of innovators.”
Over the past few years, Pratham has played a central role in shaping the student entrepreneurship ecosystem in India through Masters’ Union. Entrepreneurship remains a core pillar of the Masters’ Union experience, with 35+ students launching startups in the past year alone. Supported by the Masters’ Union Investment Fund, student ventures received ₹1.36 crore in grants, generated ₹4.32 crore in projected annualised recurring revenue, and were backed by 4,500+ personalised mentorship hours. Several student-led startups have also progressed to advanced stages of Shark Tank India, including finalist pitches, reflecting the growing scale and seriousness of campus-born ventures.
This founder-first approach has been extended globally through Tetr College, a four-year undergraduate program built around venture creation as a core academic requirement. Students build companies across seven countries, gaining exposure to multiple markets while scaling real businesses as part of their degree. Tetr’s cohorts comprise 200+ students from over 50 countries, selected through a highly competitive 2.6% acceptance rate, underscoring the institution’s focus on building a globally minded, execution-driven founder community. The college recently raised $18 million from leading education investors, Owl Ventures and Bertelsmann India Investments.
