Omnicom Media Group agency PHD has named Eileen Ooi as CEO of the Asia Pacific region. With over 19 years of industry experience, Ooi was most recently CEO at OMG Malaysia. Prior to that, she spent four years with PHD Malaysia as its Managing Director.
During her tenure at OMG Malaysia, Ooi successfully transformed the agency, securing clients like CelcomDigi, Tyson Foods, and Vinda, while retaining key accounts such as HSBC, Beiersdorf, and Wipro Unza. The network also achieved its highest employee engagement scores.
In her new role, Ooi will oversee PHD’s operations across APAC, collaborating with many of the world’s leading brands, including Volkswagen Group, CHANEL, Diageo, and Singapore Airlines. She will report to Tony Harradine, CEO of Omnicom Media Group APAC, and Guy Marks, CEO of PHD Worldwide.
As Ooi’s successor is expected to be named in Q4, she will continue to serve as CEO of OMG Malaysia in the interim, ensuring a smooth transition and ongoing progress.
Tony Harradine, CEO of OMG Asia Pacific, praised Ooi’s “unique ability to identify strategic opportunities and effectively convert them into tangible results.” He acknowledged her visionary leadership, which has significantly transformed OMG Malaysia, boosting both client and employee confidence to unprecedented levels.
“With her extensive experience and understanding of the business needs at both PHD and the group level, she is well-positioned to guide PHD Asia Pacific into a new era of growth,” Harradine added.
Guy Marks, CEO of PHD Worldwide, said, “PHD promises our clients that we will help them outthink, outpace, and outgrow the market.” He emphasized that Ooi’s track record in driving growth for clients and the agency made her the ideal choice to ensure PHD APAC fulfills that promise.”
“She’s a practitioner with an eye for detail, she moves at pace, and is a fierce collaborator—all qualities that make her an excellent partner to our clients in Asia Pacific. I am excited to work with her to bring PHD’s new proposition, ‘Intelligence. Connected.’ to life in the region, delivering a competitive advantage for our people and our clients,” Marks stated.
