Othor AI, a vertical AI startup, has raised $50,000 in a follow-up pre-seed funding round. This strategic investment brings the company’s total early-stage funding to $80,000, following its initial $30,000 raise in February 2025.
The round saw participation from angel investors including Vara Kumar Namburu (Co-founder of Whatfix), Madan Galla, and Mithun Nair.
The fresh funds raised will be used to accelerate its path to product-market fit and prepare both the company and the team for an upcoming seed funding round. Additionally, the funding will support Othor AI’s plans for US market entry, positioning the company for international expansion.
Founded in 2024 by Unni Koroth, and Nekender Shekhawat, Othor AI delivers specialised Vertical AI Agents designed for daily business decisions and planning.
The company positions itself as an AI-native, fast, simple, and secure alternative to conventional business intelligence and planning solutions currently available in the market.
The company has shown impressive progress since launching its beta version in January 2025, with the product now having signed agreements with multiple design partners to validate and showcase its value proposition.
Unni Koroth, CEO of Othor AI, said, “The rapid early traction we’re seeing validates our vision of AI-native business intelligence. Having investors of this calibre join our journey, especially Vara Kumar, who I worked alongside at Whatfix, gives us tremendous confidence as we push towards product-market fit.”
