Nitish Bajaj, CEO of India Consumer Healthcare at Piramal Pharma, has stepped down to pursue an external opportunity. After Bajaj’s exit, Sarosh Shetty was named interim CEO of the India Consumer Healthcare division.
Sarosh Shetty brings 27 years of experience in leading global consumer-driven organisations such as Hershey, Unilever, Mahindra & Mahindra, Whirlpool and Colgate Palmolive. This includes marketing and business leadership roles, both in India and globally.
Sarosh has strong expertise in business strategy development, marketing planning, brand building, multi-channel communication, process transformation, innovation strategy, commercial initiatives, and organizational leadership. He has successfully scaled up new businesses and delivered competitive share gain across established categories.
In recent years, Sarosh has worked as an independent consultant, driving business strategy and growth for various consumer-focused businesses. In his last corporate role, he was in a global leadership role as the Director for Strategic Growth and Innovations for international markets at The Hershey Company.
Prior to joining Piramal, Bajaj was Senior Vice President, Marketing at CEAT Tyres and has worked with organizations such as Reckitt Benckiser (India) Limited, Ranbaxy Global Consumer Healthcare and Heinz India Private Limited.
Bajaj holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad; and a Degree in Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU).
