NDTV has appointed Aayush Ailawadi as Editor – Tech and AI. In this role, he will lead the network’s coverage of emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and consumer tech trends.
Ailawadi brings experience in technology journalism and content creation across digital and broadcast platforms.
Aayush Ailawadi joins NDTV from RPSG Sanjiv Goenka Group, where he served as Consulting Editor. Prior to that, he was Technology Editor & Anchor at India Today Group, where he created Tech Today.
At Fortune India, he worked on building a comprehensive multimedia content library and setting up a social-first product, merging social, digital, and print formats that were both concise and comprehensive.
Known for his credible, creative and culture-driven approach to innovation storytelling, Aayush joins the newsroom to drive a richer, more relatable tech narrative—one that breaks free from clichés and places people, not products, at the centre of the story.
NDTV’s tech coverage under Aayush will span television, digital, and social media, bridging innovation with everyday life. Whether it’s AI in classrooms, data science in sports, or algorithms behind OTT blockbusters, the focus will be on real-world impact.
With his appointment, NDTV aims to expand its technology vertical to include emerging sectors such as AI, health tech, connected ecosystems, mobility, and digital design. The network intends to cover the intersection of tech with sports, entertainment, education, and policy, positioning technology not as a niche topic, but a driver of modern life.
Rahul Kanwal, CEO & Editor‑in‑Chief, NDTV, said, “Aayush brings a rare ability to make technology and AI stories insightful and engaging. His experience will strengthen the way NDTV brings complex tech narratives to life. We look forward to the fresh perspectives he will bring to our audiences.”
Aayush Ailawadi said, “Storytelling in tech isn’t just about a piece of glass in a smartphone or the scripted hype of a new launch. It’s about people and the boundless possibilities technology unlocks. From AI to cutting-edge innovations, our focus will be on 360-degree coverage that’s insightful, credible and truly relevant to everyone’s lives.”
