Former Koo co-founder Mayank Bidawatka’s Billion Hearts Software Technologies has raised around $4 million in its seed funding round led by Blume Ventures with participation from General Catalyst and Athera Venture Partners.
The funding round saw participation from notable investors, including Karthik B. Reddy and Marmik Mankodi from Blume Ventures, Neeraj Arora and Rahul Garg from General Catalyst and ex-CBO of WhatsApp, and Rutvik Doshi from Athera Venture Partners.
VCs and top tech executives had also backed Billion Hearts’ angel round including Darshit Vora, Partner at Acherman Capital, Vibhore Sharma, Partner at Capital 2B, Nithin Chandra, Director of Product Management at Facebook, Bhaskar Raju, Engineering Head at Rattle and Nizamabad TiE Angels.
This seed round comes on the heels of angel funding of $250,000 from top-tier angels such as Phanindra Sama, ex-co-founder of redBus; Ankit Bhati, ex-co-founder of Ola; Raveen Sastry, ex-co-founder of Myntra and Partner at Multiply Ventures, Piyush Shah, Co-founder of InMobi Group; Mekin Maheshwari, Founder of Udhyam Learning Foundation, and ex-President of Engineering, Flipkart; Narasimha Reddy, Co-founder of MoEngage.
Other backers include Puneet Chawla, ex Co-founder of Jaypore, Darshit Vora, Partner at Acherman Capital, Vibhore Sharma, Partner at Capital 2B, Rekuram Varadharaj, Co-founder of Healhi, Nithin Chandra, Director of Product Management at Facebook, Bhaskar Raju, Engineering Head at Rattle and Nizamabad TiE Angels.

“Billion Hearts aims to create digital products for a global user base. The first product is slated for a beta launch in a few months. Founded in August this year, Billion Hearts is currently working on a digital consumer product that’s relevant for a global market and audience. The first product is likely to have its beta launch in a few months within a close circle before opening it up to those who sign up for the beta.
