The RP Sanjiv Goenka Group (RPSG) has unveiled a new brand identity and integrated campaign for Manchester Super Giants, the rebranded Manchester franchise in The Hundred.
The RPSG recently acquired a majority stake in Manchester franchise (formerly Manchester Originals), formally bringing it into the global Super Giants League alongside Lucknow Super Giants and Durban’s Super Giants.
The new brand identity includes a new logo and crest, introduced through a high‑energy brand film titled ‘Manchester – A United City’.
The new crest is built around the elephant, chosen for its universal association with strength, authority, wisdom and leadership. A circular form holds the crest together, conveying unity, balance and continuity – a squad where individual brilliance is amplified by collective belief. The structure is designed to be timeless and versatile, working seamlessly across digital, broadcast, merchandise and in‑stadium environments. Framing the crest are wings that symbolise agility and global reach. They capture the franchise’s desire to push boundaries, while remaining grounded in discipline and purpose. Finally, the crown symbolizes the group’s ambition to win and its DNA of championship.
The identity comes alive in the launch film Manchester – A United City, which introduces Manchester Super Giants as the newest member of the Super Giants family.
The campaign will roll out across digital and social, broadcast integrations and on-ground assets including Emirates Old Trafford branding, fan experiences and merchandise.
Additional content drops, including player‑led films, behind‑the‑scenes edits and AR filters using the crest, will sustain momentum through the build‑up to The Hundred 2026 season.
Dr Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman of the RPSG Group & Owner of the Manchester Super Giants, said, “This is an exciting and important phase for us as we formally integrate the Manchester cricket franchise into the wider Super Giants family. It marks the beginning of a new chapter, grounded in ambition and long-term vision for the game in the UK. For the men’s team, we have secured world-class batters and proven match-winners in Jos Buttler and Heinrich Klaasen, alongside outstanding spin options in Noor Ahmad and Liam Dawson. For the women’s team, Meg Lanning, Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Ecclestone reflect the standards and ambition we want the Manchester Super Giants to represent.”
Shashwat Goenka, Vice Chairman, RPSG Group & Owner of the Manchester Super Giants, said, “Manchester is a city with an extraordinary sporting legacy, recognised globally for its passion, pride and love for the game. Bringing the Super Giants brand to Manchester is therefore a moment of real significance for us. Today, as the Manchester Super Giants spread their wings, we begin a new chapter rooted in team spirit, passion and a winning mindset. Super Giants is more than just a cricket team, it is an emotion that brings communities together and reflects the spirit of the city it represents.”
