Landeed, a property title search engine platform, has raised $5 million in a Series X funding round led by 10x Founders Fund. The round also saw participation from Oliver Jung, Paradigm Shift Capital, Pioneer Fund, Jeffrey Epstein, Founder of Onboard and Aaron King, Founder of Snapdocs, among others.
The funds raised will be used to establish Landeed Labs, a division focused on enhancing the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) capabilities, with plans to onboard top-tier STEM and technical talent.
This follows Landeed’s previous funding efforts, including an undisclosed strategic financing round led by Paradigm Shift VC in June last year and an $8.3 million seed round in January 2023, led by Y Combinator, Draper Associates, and Bayhouse Capital.
Previously in June 2024, Landeed raised an undisclosed amount in a seed funding round from Paradigm Shift VC. In January 2023, it raised $8.3 million in a seed round led by Y Combinator, Draper Associates, and Bayhouse Capital.
Sanjay Mandava, Co-founder and CEO of Landeed, said, “AI and machine learning are not just buzzwords; they are tools we have been using extensively to rewrite how property ownership works in India. With Landeed Labs, we’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in property transactions. AI and machine learning aren’t optional for us—they’re the backbone for everything you will see in our products going forward. This announcement is merely an explicit confirmation of what we’ve already executed such as launching India’s first legal AI property title analyzer months ago. With additional resources, we will be hiring some of the best STEM and technical talent in the country to augment the exceptional growth in our core business. We still have the majority of our funds from our seed round in the bank account so you’ll see us relentlessly shipping new products and firing on all cylinders. We never do what we do to be second best.”
Robert Wuttke, founding partner of 10x Founders, said, “Sanjay is an incredibly strong founder, able to attract top talent, and working on an idea that will have a major impact on India’s real estate economy. We are proud to back him.”
Founded in 2022 by Mandava, ZJ Lin, and Jonathan Richards, Landeed simplifies property title searches through an AI-powered platform. The platform also offers instant access to essential data points such as Sale Deeds and Encumbrance Certificates, confirming that a property is free from legal or monetary disputes.
With its user-friendly mobile app, Landeed claims to have transformed title searches, delivering results 10x faster than traditional methods for a nominal fee.
With over 5 million downloads and covering 24 states, Landeed claims to have witnessed a 22x growth in key financial metrics, with over 100,000 property owners, bankers, agents, and real estate developers utilizing its platform to buy, sell, facilitate loans and build real estate.
Looking ahead, Landeed plans to build a fully digitised and transparent real estate ecosystem using AI and ML. Through Landeed Labs, the company aims to drive a transformative shift in property transactions and expand its presence across India and globally.
