Kisah Apparels, an ethnicwear brand for men, has raised ₹13 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Sagar Daryani (Founder, Wow! Momo). The round also saw participation from Apoorv Salarpuria (Salarpuria Investments), Rahul Todi (CEO, Shrachi Group), Vinod Dugar (CEO, RDB Group) and Inflection Point Ventures.
The fresh capital raised will be used for the brand’s offline rollout across three new cities, bolster its direct-to-consumer (D2C) operations, and drive brand-building initiatives.
The company aims to deepen its customer engagement through its hybrid model—merging digital convenience with immersive in-store experiences.
Founded in 2018 by Yash Sarawagi and Yashwi Ladasaria, Kisah caters to Gen Z and millennial men with high-fashion ethnicwear at affordable prices. Initially launched with a marketplace-first model, now evolved into a fully-fledged omnichannel brand.
The company now operates two flagship stores, with plans to open three more in key metros by year-end.
Yash Sarawagi, Founder & CEO of Kisah Apparels, said, “E-commerce provided us with pan India reach and rich customer insights. Those learnings now power our D2C growth and offline expansion, supported by robust data, strong customer pull and positive cash flow.”
Sagar Daryani, lead investor said, “Kisah has cracked the code for young Indian men who demand style, value and social flair. Their metrics—growing from a ₹40–45 crore run rate to over ₹100 crore, with positive operating cash flow and PAT—are exceptional in the tough D2C fashion landscape.”
Kisah said it has developed in-house systems to leverage data across its marketplace and D2C channels, helping drive decisions related to product design, sourcing, supply chain optimisation, and marketing. The company claims to have grown from ₹40–45 crore to a run rate of over ₹100 crore while maintaining positive operating cash flow and profitability at the PAT level.
