IndusInd Bank has announced the appointment of Tapobrat Chaudhuri as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Bharat Financial Inclusion (BFIL), a financial services company and a wholly owned subsidiary of IndusInd Bank.
Tapobrat Chaudhuri is a seasoned leader with over 26 years of experience across Microfinance, Retail and Rural lending.
In his new role, Tapobrat Chaudhari will be driving BFIL’s strategic priorities, including strengthening asset quality and collections, reducing delinquencies, optimizing costs, and enhancing synergies between IndusInd Bank and BFIL to further granularize the retail business while reinforcing compliance and governance frameworks.
Prior to joining IndusInd Bank, he served as President & Business Head – Microfinance at Kotak Mahindra Bank, where he successfully scaled a granular and diversified loan portfolio, introduced data and digital-led solutions, for superior customer products and service offerings. He has previously worked with Axis Bank and the State Bank of India Group across Corporate and Retail Banking.
Chaudhari holds a bachelor’s degree in Science from Ranchi University and is a Certified Associate (CAIIB) of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance.
