The India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), an industry alliance focused on accelerating energy storage, green hydrogen, and e-mobility adoption in India has announced the appointment of Debmalya Sen as its new President.
With significant experience in the energy sector spanning conventional power, renewable energy, energy storage, and green hydrogen, Debmalya brings a wealth of expertise to IESA. His leadership in emerging technologies, policy advocacy, and business development will play a critical role in advancing India’s energy storage ecosystem.
Prior to joining IESA, Debmalya served as India Lead – Advanced Energy Solutions at the World Economic Forum, where he spearheaded discussions on energy transition, policy frameworks, and emerging technologies, including energy storage and green hydrogen. He has also worked closely with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) in shaping India’s energy storage policies.
