Jason Kothari, entrepreneur and former CEO of Housing.com, has launched Mythik, a global entertainment company based in India with a focus on leveraging technology.
Mythik aims to present Eastern mythology, history, and folktales to a worldwide audience in a modern, immersive way, to reach a built-in audience of 3.5 billion people globally.
Jason Kothari, Founder of Mythik, said, “Global entertainment has been dominated by Hollywood and Western stories. It’s time to share Eastern stories—our history, culture, values, and greatest legends—with the world, using advanced technology across all aspects of the business.”

He acquired Valiant Entertainment at the age of 24 while studying at Wharton and led its turnaround, ultimately selling the company to DMG Entertainment for $100 million. Kothari also served as an Executive Producer for ‘Bloodshot’, a Valiant-based movie produced by Sony Pictures.
His career includes roles as CEO of Softbank-backed Housing.com, where he helped transform the company into a $350 million business, and CEO of FreeCharge, leading the company’s sale to Axis Bank. Kothari has also played advisory roles with businesses such as Emaar India, Balaji Telefilms, and Noon, which raised $1 billion in initial funding.
Kothari, a national bestselling author, wrote ‘Irrationally Passionate’ (published by HarperCollins India), and his journey in entertainment began at age 15 as a Production Assistant for ‘Jackie Chan: My Stunts’ at Media Asia Films.
