Godrej Consumer Products has announced the appointment of ad-industry veteran Swati Bhattacharya as Global Head for Lightbox, the company’s in-house creative lab. Swati will join Lightbox effective September 1, 2024.
Swati was previously the Creative Chairperson of FCB India. Under her leadership, FCB India won more than 180 awards, including six Grand Prix, Fusion Pencil, Glass Lions, Gold Lions, and Clio Grands.
Her work transformed FCB India’s creative reputation, making it the most-awarded Indian agency and her the most-awarded Creative Director in India (Campaign Brief Asia ranking 2021). She was the Cannes See It Be It ambassador in 2022 and served on the international board of One Show 2022.
Commenting on her appointment, Sudhir Sitapati, MD & CEO, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL), said, “In alignment with our strategy for category development, we have made substantial investments in advertising, with Lightbox being a key partner. Speaking on her new role, Swati Bhattacharya, said, “I am passionate about storytelling and story doing and was aching for more freedom to create, to build, to learn and unlearn, to incubate to experiment. Lightbox was established in 2023 by GCPL as an in-house creative lab to drive creative campaigns for all its brands across various categories. It is the central unit that leads creative campaigns in regions where GCPL has a presence, such as India, Indonesia, Africa, and Latin America. Over the past year, Lightbox has released numerous campaigns for GCPL brands like Goodknight, HIT, Godrej aer, Godrej Fab, Magic Floor Cleaner, Godrej Expert Rich Crème, and many more.
