Franklin Templeton, a mutual fund investment company announced the appointment of Manraj Sekhon, Chief Investment Officer – Templeton Global Investments to its Global Executive Committee.
In his expanded role on the Executive Committee, Manraj will work closely with Jenny Johnson, President & CEO, Terrence Murphy, EVP & Head of Public Markets, and other members of Franklin Templeton’s global leadership team. Franklin Templeton’s Executive Committee is the core global leadership group providing long-term vision and strategic direction.
Manraj’s expanded role is in addition to his existing role as the Chief Investment Officer of Templeton Global Investments and Co-CEO of Templeton Asset Management Ltd. in Singapore, and he will continue to be based there.
In his capacity as CIO of Templeton Global Investments, he oversees over 120 investment professionals across 19 countries and a full suite of global and emerging markets equity strategies. He has some 30 years of global investment experience managing portfolios on behalf of pension plans, sovereign wealth, endowments, insurance, family offices and private wealth.
