Emversity raises $5 million in pre-Series A funding led by Lightspeed and Z47

Founded in 2023 by Vivek Sinha, Emversity is a skill-based training and recruitment platform integrates academic learning with real-world work experience.

Beyond Odds Technologies, parent of the skill-based training and higher-education platform Emversity has raised $5 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Z47 and Lightspeed. The round also participation from Alteria Capital and Innoven Capital.

The fresh funds raised will be used to scale operations to 75+ campuses by the end of the financial year and expand its reach.

In April 2024, Emversity raised $11 million in its seed funding round led by Z47 and Lightspeed with participation from InnoVen Capital India and Alteria Capital.

Founded in 2023 by Vivek Sinha, Beyond Odds Technologies is an employability-led education company. Emversity’s skill-based training and recruitment platform integrates academic learning with real-world work experience, aimed at preparing students for high-demand roles in healthcare, travel & hospitality, education, and construction.

Emversity bridges the skilled-workforce gap in nation-building industries by embedding work-integrated, technology-driven training into degree programs at Higher Education Institutions.

Under the ‘Emversity School of Allied Health Sciences’, students train for roles such as nurses, therapists, caregivers, OT technicians, lab technicians, paramedics and other allied health professionals. The newly launched ‘Emversity School of Hospitality’ has partnered with two of the world’s largest hotel chains to offer skill-based training in rooms, F&B service, and culinary at nine campuses starting this year.

The company has also launched Travel & Hospitality keeping in line with its mission of solving skill gaps across multiple critical industries.

The company now operates across 36 campuses in 18 states.
