Edelman has announced the elevation of Rakesh Thukral as chief executive officer for the firm’s operations in Asia Pacific (APAC).
Thukral, who currently serves as the agency’s APAC Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of India, will succeed Warren Fernandez. Fernandez will be stepping down from the role to pursue a new opportunity and will remain with the firm until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.
In his new role, he will report to Ed Williams, Edelman’s president for international, and the appointment is effective immediately.
