DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations, a listed drone company, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with American Blast Systems (ABS) Inc. to expand its global presence and deliver drone solutions to the American, European, and UK markets.
This partnership aims to introduce ‘Made in India’ drone technology into the American market while ABS produces these drones locally in the United States to accelerate sales.
The collaboration marks a significant milestone in DroneAcharya’s mission to provide Enterprise, Industrial, and Defence drone solutions across key regions, including North and South America and Europe.
The MoU was signed on 2 October 2024, by Prateek Srivastava, Founder and Managing Director, DroneAcharya, and Donald Culver, Chairman, ABS.
The partnership comes at a time when the U.S. commercial drone market is experiencing unprecedented growth. The market, valued at $6.39 billion in 2024, is projected to reach $14.11 billion by 2033, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.2%. With 77 per cent of the market share held by the commercial segment in 2023, there is ample opportunity for DroneAcharya and ABS to capture a significant portion of this rapidly growing market.
Additionally, the Public Safety Drone Market, valued at $1.1 billion in 2023, is projected to grow to $2.0 billion by 2028, with a CAGR of 13.0%. This opens up new opportunities for the development of defence-grade drones and Anti-Drone solutions tailored for law enforcement, military, and security applications.
DroneAcharya and ABS will offer a diverse range of drone solutions, including hardware, software, and services for sectors such as defence, law & order, agriculture, logistics, retail, and various industries.
The partnership will leverage ABS’s expertise in defense and security to market DroneAcharya’s innovative solutions across these regions. The companies will focus on defense-grade drone solutions and anti-drone technology.
The drones will be co-designed, co-developed, and manufactured in Los Angeles, certified by local authorities, and branded as Made in America. These drones will feature innovative capabilities, enabling superior performance for border security, surveillance, counterinsurgency, and logistics.
Additionally, DroneAcharya will cross-sell ABS products in the Asian market, further expanding its global presence. This move aligns with DroneAcharya’s strategy for global expansion and commitment to establishing India as a significant player in the global drone industry.
The partnership aims to capture a significant share of the growing demand for domestically produced, certified drones, especially in light of the ongoing ban on Chinese products in multiple nations.
Prateek Srivastava, Founder & Managing Director of DroneAcharya, said, “This partnership will open a large overseas market for DroneAcharya’s drone hardware and services. We see tremendous potential in this collaboration as it positions India at the forefront of the global drone industry. Our goal is to deliver cutting-edge, India-made drone technology that ensures secure data transmission and complete data privacy.”
