dmodot, a Delhi-based handcrafted luxury footwear brand, has raised ₹1.35 crore in funding for a 30% equity stake, at a valuation of ₹4.5 crore, on JioHotstar’s business reality series ‘Pitch to Get Rich’.
The funds raised will be used to expand its retail and online footprint across Tier-1 cities in India, launch an international capsule collection representing “Quiet Luxury, Made in India”, strengthen its artisan network and implement sustainable production processes. dmodot will also invest in marketing, e-commerce technology, and new product development.
Founded in 2016 by designer-entrepreneur Abhishek Sharma, dmodot is a premium luxury footwear brand. Known for blending traditional Indian craftsmanship with modern design, dmodot offers a wide range of footwear, including loafers, mules, mojris, and sneakers.
Looking ahead, the company aims to open exclusive studios in Delhi and Mumbai, expand into global markets, and collaborate with Indian designers on limited-edition collections.
Abhishek Sharma, Founder & CEO of dmodot, said, “This isn’t just a deal; it’s a validation of India’s craftsmanship. Securing ₹1.35 crore for a 30% stake at a ₹4.5 crore valuation on Pitch to Get Rich reaffirms that ‘Quiet Luxury’ — rooted in design, authenticity, and craftsmanship — has massive potential in India’s modern retail space.”
“Abhishek’s brand reflects the kind of business India needs — design-driven, scalable, and proudly rooted in Indian craft,” said Malaika Arora during the episode.
Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment in association with Fashion Entrepreneur Fund (FEF), Pitch to Get Rich is a reality show blending fashion, business, and entertainment — with an impressive ₹40 crore investment pool.
The show’s celebrity investor panel includes Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, and Malaika Arora.
The show provides a platform for visionary founders to present their business models to a panel of investors and celebrity mentors who recognize both artistic value and market scalability.
