The JSW-GMR co-owned Delhi Capitals announced a partnership with NO MORE, a Ministry of Textiles–certified upcycled fashion and lifestyle brand, to create the official backpacks for the team for the ongoing season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2026).
Known for building one-of-one, circular bags and accessories, NO MORE has entirely reimagined Delhi Capitals’ official backpacks through upcycling. For the first time in the WPL, a team’s official backpack has been created using legacy playing kits, placing the planet at the centre of the design process.
The backpacks have been handcrafted using last season’s Delhi Capitals Women’s Team jerseys, ensuring that team materials are given a meaningful second life instead of being discarded. Key elements of the bags, including the team logo, flaps, panels, and pockets, have been carefully cut from the upcycled jerseys, preserving team identity while significantly reducing textile waste.
Further reinforcing the innovation behind the design, discarded car seat belts have been repurposed as backpack haul loops. Selected for their strength, durability, and performance, materials originally engineered to save lives have been thoughtfully adapted for everyday use.
Sunil Gupta, CEO, Delhi Capitals, said, “The league has been a powerful catalyst in the growth of women’s cricket, helping build a stronger, more conscious sporting ecosystem. Partnerships like this coming to life reflect how the league is evolving beyond performance to purpose. Giving back in meaningful ways is central to our philosophy at Delhi Capitals, and this collaboration with NO MORE allows us to align sport with sustainability, innovation, and long-term responsibility.”
Praveen Premkumar, Founder, NO MORE, said, “We are proud to partner with Delhi Capitals to set a new benchmark for sustainable sports merchandise. Designed and handcrafted in India, these backpacks demonstrate that sustainability can be embedded, not added, to performance-driven products. Our goal is to show that fashion, sport, and conscious design can come together to create high-quality products that honour both the planet and the legacy of athletes.”
