Dainik Bhaskar Group has announced the appointment of Durga Chakraborty as Corporate Sales Head for South India, marking a significant step in the organisation’s strategic expansion across the region.
Durga will report to Mayar Penkar, Chief Operating Officer – Corporate Sales.
With more than two decades of experience spanning broadcast, print, radio, and digital media across India and the United States, Durga brings a comprehensive understanding of the media landscape to DB Corp’s senior leadership. Her career has been defined by driving business growth, building high-performing teams, and shaping impactful content and sales strategies.
Prior to joining DB Corp, Durga served as Associate Vice President at Sony Pictures Networks India, where she led critical verticals including SAB TV, FTA, Kids, and the English Cluster. Her expertise in business development, regional expansion, client engagement, and strategic planning positions her strongly to amplify DB Corp’s momentum in South India.
In her new role, Durga will lead strategic business initiatives, strengthen customer-focused practices, build agile, high-performance teams, and advance DB Corp’s commitment to delivering value-driven solutions.
