Curefoods has made a strategic investment in Dras Ice, a provider of pure, contaminant-free packaged ice solutions. This will enable Curefoods to utilise Dras Ice’s robust frozen chain logistics to enhance distribution capabilities for their cloud kitchens and quick-service restaurants (QSRs).
Founded in 2021 by Shashank Singhal, Abhinav Duggal and Ayush Agarwal, Dras Ice, inspired by India’s coldest inhabited village, Dras, caters to key industries such as HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, and Catering), modern trade channels, and Q-commerce platforms. Dras Ice ensures businesses benefit from premium-quality products tailored to their operational requirements by addressing the need for safe and reliable ice solutions.
Gokul Kandhi, Chief Operating Officer, Curefoods said, “Our collaboration with Dras Ice strengthens our ability to support the operational needs of cloud kitchens while addressing a clear market gap in the packaged ice segment. Together we are set to revolutionize how India consumes ice by offering superior, certified, and safe packaged ice solutions.”
Dras Ice aligns with Curefoods’ vision to support innovative solutions that meet both the quality and safety expectations of businesses and consumers.
Recently, Curefoods acquired the South & West India operations of Krispy Kreme, the global doughnut and coffee brand from Landmark Group. The acquisition marked a strategic move for Curefoods to expand its portfolio and enhance its presence in India’s thriving foodservice market.
