City Football Group (CFG) has divested its shareholding in Mumbai City FC, amid growing uncertainty over the future of the Indian Super League (ISL).
With this, the team’s entire ownership will now rest with founding owners Ranbir Kapoor and Bimal Parekh.
CFG has made this decision following a comprehensive commercial review and in light of the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the future of the Indian Super League (ISL).
The City Football Group (CFG) acquired a 65% stake in Mumbai City FC in 2019. Mumbai City FC are one of the most successful teams in the history of ISL, winning four titles, which include two League Winners’ Shields and two ISL Cups.
