BPTP, a real estate company, has announced the appointment of Rakesh Kaushik as President – Legal. With over three decades of domestic and international experience in corporate legal practice, Kaushik brings deep expertise in corporate laws, compliance, risk management, litigation strategy, complex contract negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, SEBI compliance, and corporate secretarial practices.
Kaushik has played a key role in formulating and implementing strategies and policies to enable smooth business operations and expansion within a risk-controlled framework. Throughout his career, he has advised boards on legal and regulatory risks, mitigation strategies, governance, and best practices across various sectors including Telecom, FMCG, Healthcare, and Infrastructure.
In his new role at BPTP, Kaushik will lead the company’s legal function. He will oversee litigation strategy and management, develop a robust compliance framework, drive risk mitigation initiatives, lead negotiations and contracts, and support key legal functions aligned with BPTP’s operations, expansion plans, and growth trajectory.
Before joining BPTP, he successfully led the legal and regulatory functions at Max Healthcare Institute Limited as Director – Legal and Regulatory Affairs. One of his prominent stints was with Bharti Airtel Limited, where he led the legal and regulatory risk and assurance functions globally. He has also held key legal roles at Hindustan Unilever Limited, RJ Corp, American Tower (formerly VIOM), Usha International, and Artemis Medicare.
Kaushik holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University, and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (FCS).
