Andrew Ng’s AI Fund has invested an undisclosed amount in Jivi, an AI healthcare startup in a strategic round.
“AI is transforming healthcare, and Jivi takes an important step toward more equitable, precise, and personalised care. Ankur and team are at the forefront of this transformation and are developing accessible and intelligent tools. AI Fund is excited to advance this vision together with Jivi,” said Andrew Ng, Managing General Partner, AI Fund in a statement.
“Our mission is to make healthcare more efficient, affordable, and accessible to everyone, regardless of location. Growing up in a family of doctors, I’ve seen firsthand how timely and accurate medical care can save lives. With the expertise and vision of Dr. Andrew Ng, we are confident that Jivi will play a transformative role in shaping the future of global healthcare, ensuring that high-quality care is a right, not a privilege,” said Ankur Jain, Co-founder and CEO, Jivi.
Jivi is co-founded by Ankur Jain, former Chief Product Officer at BharatPe, and G V Sanjay Reddy, Chairperson of Reddy Ventures.
Headquartered in Gurugram, Jivi is centered around its doctor-led AI platform, designed to make healthcare more efficient, affordable, and accessible to everyone, regardless of their location. The platform uses a multilingual conversational interface that integrates AI-powered diagnostics with human validation from top medical professionals.
By guiding patients through their healthcare journeys, Jivi offers immediate answers to health-related inquiries, generating personalised health reports based on extensive research from millions of medical journals.
With a focus on reducing administrative burdens for healthcare providers, Jivi can assist doctors in analysing patient health data and streamlining their workflows. This is expected to enable medical professionals to dedicate more time to patient consultations, ultimately improving the quality of care.
At the heart of Jivi’s technological innovation is its proprietary AI model, Jivi MedX, which recently achieved a top ranking on the Open Medical LLM Leaderboard, outperforming well-known competitors like Google’s Med-PaLM 2 and OpenAI’s GPT-4. Currently, in beta testing with several leading hospitals, Jivi’s platform is expected to be available to the public later this year.
