Akasa Air has appointed Sejal Haribhakti Mody as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective September 9, 2024. Sejal will spearhead Akasa Air’s human resources strategy, playing a pivotal role as the airline aims to become one of the top 30 global airlines by the end of this decade.
In her new position, Sejal will drive organizational and functional transformation, enhance enterprise performance, and lead talent management and leadership development initiatives. She will also focus on enriching employee experience and fostering a positive organizational culture.
With over 20 years of extensive experience in human resources, organizational change, and talent strategy, Sejal has a distinguished career across various industries including FMCG, media, and consulting.
Prior to her role at Akasa Air, Sejal was the HR Head for Supply Chain, Legal, and ESG/Sustainability at Hindustan Unilever in South Asia. Her role involved managing Talent Strategy, Organization Design, Workforce Planning, and Culture and Capability Building. She has also served as Senior Vice President for Corporate HR at Disney Star, where she led HR initiatives during the Disney-Star integration, and held key positions at McKinsey & Co. and Accenture.
Sejal holds an MBA in Finance and Change Management from the Indian School of Business and a BBA Honors in Management Information Systems from Texas McCombs School of Business.
